Can you use the kitchen during cabinet painting or no

Painting, or any other part of a cabinet painting or home renovation project, can be more extensive than the work of plumbers or electricians. During a kitchen cabinet painting project, we get the job done in the shortest possible time.

It is strictly forbidden to use the kitchen when renovating the kitchen. But you can access your refrigerator, microwave oven, and other small household appliances. Since painting walls or ceilings in a kitchen usually takes one day, there is no need to wait long.

Let’s take a look at what steps are taken to get the kitchen ready before painting begins.

Kitchen cabinets are located next to installed appliances, a stove, and a dishwasher; these items will have to be wrapped in sealed plastic or masking paper. Thus, for a while, you will not have access to most of the installed devices.

If the refrigerator cannot be moved to adjacent rooms, then it should be draped with masking plastic covering all sides except the front, which is open for you to access.

The kitchen sink will also be draped for protection, but not tightly so that you also have access to it. The stove, microwave, and dishwasher are usually covered with masking paper.

Even if you won’t be able to fully use your kitchen for about a week, it’s okay, as this is a small price to pay to transform your kitchen with new cabinets and new space that you will use for years to come.
